Signing in

This page describes the sign-in screen at pdf.gevell.com. Other Gevell products use a similar screen; email sign-in is available in each of them.

There is no separate sign-up step. New users will have an account created automatically the first time they sign in by any method below. No credit card is required, and your first 10 pages are free (see Controlling costs).

By signing in, you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy linked at the bottom of the sign-in screen.

  1. Enter your email address and choose Email Me a Sign-In Link.
  2. Open the email we send. It contains a sign-in link and a 6-digit code.
  3. Either click the link, or return to the Check Your Email screen and type the code. Use whichever is easier.

The code is the better choice if you use a work or school email address. Some organizations’ security filters open links before you do, which uses them up. A code you type can’t be broken that way.

If you don’t see the email, check your spam or junk folder. On the Check Your Email screen you can choose Email me again after a 60-second wait, or Use a different email if you mistyped your address.

Choose Continue with Google or Continue with LinkedIn at the top of the sign-in screen and follow the prompts from that provider.

Choose Sign in with a password instead. From there you can:

  • Sign in with your email and password.
  • Create an account with your email and a password of at least 8 characters, typed twice. We email a confirmation link; click it to activate the account, then sign in.
  • Forgot your password? Enter your email and we send a password-reset link. For privacy, the message is the same whether or not an account exists for that address.

Choose Use a magic link instead to go back to the email screen.

Choose Call me with a code instead. Enter your phone number with its country code (for example +14155551212). We call you and read a 6-digit code aloud; type it to sign in. You can ask for another call after 60 seconds.

If your organization has set up SSO, sign in with your institutional account. See Signing in with SSO.

The link says it’s invalid or expired. Request a new email and type the 6-digit code instead of clicking the link. An email scanner may have opened the link before you did, which invalidates it.

The email never arrived. Check spam or junk, confirm the address is spelled correctly, and wait a minute before resending. If you use a work address, ask your IT team to allow mail from Gevell, or use Google, LinkedIn, or the phone-call option instead.

You deleted your account. Sign-in is disabled while an account is scheduled for deletion. Use the restore link in the email we sent you. See Deleting your account.

Still stuck? Contact support from the email address on the account, and tell us which sign-in method you tried and any message you saw.

Open Settings from your avatar menu to see the email address on your account. It can’t be edited there; to change it, contact support. See Account settings.
